14 Sept - Lining Your World Up With Jesus

I heard a quote this week that struck me how powerful it was. It said, “If it doesn’t live in the mind of Christ, It doesn’t live in me.”

Just imagine for a moment if you lived that truth out. If you align your thoughts, words, and actions in line with what lives in Jesus. If there was anything you know doesn’t live in him and his way of thinking about you, a situation, or the world around you, you would choose to renounce those things in you, too.

The amazing truth about a relationship with Jesus is that when we allow Him to work in us, He will start speaking and revealing who He says we are and His plans for our lives, and often that is very different from what we may have been thinking or living out.

He starts to renew our minds, ridding us of our “stinking thinking” and transforming our thoughts, words, and actions with what he says in His Word and how He feels about us and the world around us.

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God”. (Romans 12:2)

He says and believes about your life that you are a new creation: you are loved, you are whole, you are righteous, you are healed, you are free, you are forgiven, you have a sound mind, you are strong, you are bold, you are brave, you are patient, you are kind and loving, you are fearfully and wonderfully made.

His words have power – dynamic power in them. They have the power to restore and transform our minds and hearts, but it’s our choice whether we receive these words from God or reject them.

When He speaks, things are shaped, changed, and brought to life. He wants us to speak what He speaks and to agree with what He says about us.

I encourage you to make the decision that if Jesus doesn't have a thought, belief or action living in Him and how he does things, then you won't either. Spend some time with Jesus, get out His Word, research what He says about who you are in Jesus, the plans He has for your future, and how He sees and feels about you, and speak and start to align your life with Him today.

"Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us." (Ephesians 5:1-2 NLT)

Prayer: Lord, would you show me where I have things in my life that don’t live in you. Please help me to align my life more with yours so that your Word and heart attitude towards me. In Jesus Name, Amen.
