17 June – Purpose In The Process

purpose in the process

God really does want to grant us the desires of our heart, but He also knows that everything has a process and an appointed time. Much like a having a baby, there is a process to that new life growing, developing and being ready to be born. If a baby arrives too early it can be dangerous, stressful and usually the parents just aren’t ready.  Therefore God has planned that it is far better for a baby to arrive at the end of a 9 month process than at 8 months when most mothers are getting uncomfortable, and expectant fathers are often getting a little anxious.

God is very interested in who we are – in our character and what sort of man or woman we are becoming and not just the outcome.

He knows everything has an appointed time and rather than grumble, complain or have a bad attitude He wants us to allow Him to mold and prepare us throughout the process. God is never in a hurry, but he is interested in us becoming all we were made to be. This however means learning to lean on His goodness and trusting Him in the process, as He forges our character and refines and works in us, much like a mastercraftsman works upon His next masterpiece.

Unfortunately from experience I’ve learnt impatient grumbling and bad attitudes can hinder the God’s process in our lives and also makes the journey less enjoyable. At times our attitudes and actions can actually send us back around the mountain, rather than enabling us to overcome and able to stand on it’s heights. God knows that the process is important for honing our strength, knowledge, skills and relationship with both Him and others so that the fulfillment of our dreams is a blessing to our life rather than harmful.

Today whatever or wherever you are in life I encourage you to continue to grow, develop and seek to be your best at everything you put your hand to. God has your life in His very capable hands and sees every part of your journey, so you’re in good hands.

Trust God’s appointed timing and that what you are desiring will be all the sweeter for the testing and proving of your character and skills, as you continue to walk out the process.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”(Galatians 6:9)

“And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” (James 1:4)

“I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted” (Job 42:2).

Prayer: Lord I’m choosing to trust your purposes in my life and your perfect timing Please create a right heart and attitude in me and help me to trust and embrace the process. In Jesus name amen
