19 February - Beat The Bad Days

I was a little hassled by life yesterday; I can start feeling like that if I don’t deal with issues or are mindful to keep tabs on the relationships in my world.

But amidst my feeling blah, I stopped to pick up my journal, where I write down everything and was reminded of what I felt Jesus had previously said to me. Reading what I’d written, I instantly felt the pressure lift about my thoughts and feelings. Instead of stress, I felt God’s peace and a sense of purpose and vision.

One way I've learnt to deal with uncertainty, pressure or having a bad day is to look back over what God has spoken to me or what I have had him do in the past. It’s a key to his truth and word being able to comfort and strengthen you, and it’s also a reason why it’s a good idea to write down when you feel God is speaking, when you feel his presence or believe he has revealed something to you.

These Jesus moments where I remember what He has shown me helps keep my focus and heart anchored. I know I will be okay because all my choices are anchored on a firm foundation of who He is and has spoken to me.

He promises that when we keep our hearts and minds focused on Him, he will keep us in perfect peace because we’ve fixed our thoughts and trust in Him.” (Isaiah 26:3)

Today I encourage you to remember all the times you felt Jesus speaking to you. Look back at his words if you have taken the time to write them down or re-read them from the Bible. Listen to Him, and He will speak to you and tell you the way to go, lift any burdens from your heart and remind and reveal to you how he has been looking after you all along.

“Call to me, and I will answer you and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken.” (Psalm 62:2)

Prayer: Lord, thank you for being in control, and all things hold together. Please help me remember all that you have revealed and spoken to me so that I can stay focused and calm even amid pressure or stress. In Jesus name Amen
