This is a repost from a few years ago when our family travelled to Canada, but itโs a goodie and a great reminder to think bigger because with Jesus you are capable of so much. ๐
....As I write this, I am at an altitude of 10972m, travelling at a speed of 920kmp/h. We've just flown over some snow-covered mountains in Greenland, on route to Toronto, Canada. In today's world of technology and flight travel, that does not seem as incredible as it once was in the early 1900s when the Wright Brothers first recorded a few minutes of controlled flight.
However, when I look out of the window from thousands of metres in the air, after what will be 14 hours of sustained flight, complete with food, in house entertainment, and loudly flushing toilets, amazing it still is.
The truth is that we are all capable of so much more than we give ourselves credit for. Perhaps, many of us do ourselves, and the loving God who created us a massive disservice by thinking less of ourselves than we ought, and therefore we live far below our potential.
People like the Wright brothers choose to see limits and impossibilities as something God desires to overcome, and because of that, they help change and transform the world for good. It's important to understand that God never planned that a pioneering, limit-breaking lifestyle is only for a select few. He expects us all to continually grow, expand, discover, and successfully overcome our unique challenges and situations. Yes, some desire to break more significant boundaries, to be pioneers in their fields, but that doesn't mean the rest of us should sit back and do nothing. God made you to go from faith to faith, ever-increasing in your abilities, faith compacity to love, skills and new discoveries.
Unfortunately, many people don't live that way because the devil doesn't want mankind living free, without limits, co-creating with God, and enjoying life to its full potential. He'd rather we remained beaten, complacent and faithless. (John 10:10)
This is why we must stay connected to God's goodness, putting into our lives God's words of faith, belief and limitless possibilities. It's why every day we focus ahead, and not behind, and choose to push past our limits; to face our fears, learn from, rather than be beaten by our setbacks and determine with God's power at work in us to live the life for which God made us uniquely for.
Today, let those great many men and women of faith and persistence who have gone before you spur you on to break through any limitations, negative mindsets, obstacles or lack. They are the bible says, the great cloud of witnesses who surround and cheer you on to lay aside every weight, disappointment and sin, so that you can run with perseverance the race that is set before you. As you do, remember to focus upon and remain connected to Jesus, who is the author and finisher of your faith, depending on Him for all the strength, love and wisdom you need. (Hebrews 12:1-3)
"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)
"May He give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed." (Psalm 20:4)
Prayer: Lord, thank you for the amazing abilities you have created and released within me. Help me today to not think of myself less than I ought, but to stay connected to you so that I can live to my fullest potential. In Jesus name Amen.
