3 May – Overcoming weariness

images (28).jpeg

I’ve discovered the bigger the life you desire and God has placed in your heart to believe for, the more capacity we have to get weary. Weary because we have to work to develop our talents and build them into skills, weary because we usually have to juggle doing more than one thing at a time, weary because what we are believing for can take a lot longer than anticipated. Weary because even though it’s easier to settle for less of a life, the bigger dream and vision inside us won’t allow it.

Yet God, who has called us to live the life He’s placed in our hearts always equips and empowers us for the type of life He calls us to. We may not be living it out in the natural realm right now, but He always provides for the vision He gives and knows all about us and what we need. If we don’t have it or it’s been removed from our life then we just don’t need it to fulfill our purpose.

God continually encourages us to run our race to win and He talks like that. When we feel weak He doesn’t say, “oh well, yes you’re not doing so great and probably won’t make it”. No on the contrary He says, ‘let the weak say I am strong, that we are overcomers, that we are His workmanship, and able to do and be far more than we usually think is possible. He desires to train us in the secret of overcoming all things so that we would discover “the strength of Christ’s explosive power as it infuses us to conquer every difficulty” (Philippians 4:13 TPT; Joel 3:10; John 16:33; Ephesians; 2:10; 3:20; )

He hears our cries and lifts our burdens when we come to Him, but it is when we speak out and remind Him of His promises that He is obligated by His own Word to intervene on our behalf to cause those promises to come to pass. Meaning you can trust Him that if He’s spoken it, if He’s revealed it, if He has placed the vision in your heart, then He is well able to make it happen and is bound by His Word and covenant to us to cause it to be so.

“I am alert and active watching over my Word to perform it“. (Jeremiah 1:12)

Today if you are feeling weary or discouraged lean in on Jesus, line up your thoughts and words with His promises, rest when you need to, keep perspective and balance and know that that it is God who opens doors that no man can shut and with Him all things become possible.

Let His strength and might infuse you with renewed energy, supernatural ability and wisdom to keep running your race well today. (Revelation 3:10; Matthew 19:26)

Behold you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for you”. (Jeremiah 32:17)

“But those who wait upon God get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles, They run and don’t get tired, they walk and don’t lag behind” (Isaiah 40:31 The Message)

I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted“. (Job 42:2)

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us”. (Romans 8:31)

Prayer: Lord thankyou that I can do all things through because you give me strength. Today I declare I am strong, I overcome and have all the wisdom, understanding and favour I need to fulfill my purpose and to see the desires of my heart come to pass. Please fill me with your joy and hope today as I continue to run my race well. In Jesus name Amen
