3 October - Love Never Fails

The big thing that makes life work is Love. Things comes together as they should when founded in love; our faith, ability to hope, our relationships, and the plans for our lives.

I think having our lives centered in love makes everything work is because focusing on love affects how we think, act, plan, and see ourselves and others.

But how do we love when we live in a sometimes unloving world. God has some keys. He said. "the eye is the lamp of our body.

The light of the body is the eye. The eye is the point of vision. When our vision is focused, we will fulfil and walk in our purpose. When our eye is good, our whole body is full of light, but when our eye is focused on mistakes, hurts or unhealthy negative things, our body and thoughts fill up with darkness instead of love, hope and light.

When our eyes are healthy, our whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, our body also is full of darkness". (Luke 11:34)

If we focus on cultivating love, it makes our faith work, and nothing is impossible when faith is at work! Mountains of doubt, fear, and disappointment disappear as our faith, fueled by knowing we are loved, overcomes and moves obstacles out of our way.

Love causes compassion to rise in our hearts to care about others. To cast aside fear, doubt and negativity about ourselves and those around us so that our hearts become engaged!

When we choose to love and open our hearts to others and God, it activates our faith to start believing and to reach out and put our love into action.

I love the account of Jesus feeding the 5000 in Matthew 14:13-21. Jesus exhibits a faith motivated by genuine love and concern for people. In Jesus' feed the 5000, we see that love was the motivation behind the miracle as He had compassion for the people.

Jesus is Love, and His love for us compelled Him to go to the Cross. Love still compels Him to reach out to each one of us.

I encourage you to read through the Gospels. (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in the Bible), you'll soon discover that Jesus was and is always motivated by love.

Our best life is found in love and demonstrating love to others; It makes life make sense, and when we love with God's love, He says it will never fail.

"Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away." (1 Corinthians 13:7-8 NIV)

I encourage you to put your energy and focus into seeking after and loving God – the source of love and receiving His love for you so that it can flow over to those all around us.

Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for your Love for me. I ask for your Love to cover me, flow through me, and fill my heart with compassion for whoever you lead me to today. In Jesus Name. Amen.
