30 June - Jesus Is With You

There are times in our lives when we can wonder where Jesus was or is when we are traveling through things. Was He there when you were going through something difficult? Is He hearing your prayers, and does He see and care?

When we are struggling or feeling pressured Jesus wants us to remember we are never alone. Jesus is right there, through everything.

I was reminded of this today in a dream I had and I felt like God wanted to remind me that no matter what He has always been with me. It’s why the angels declared on the night Jesus was born – Emmanuel God is with us. (Matthew 1:22-23)

There is an account of a man living in a cemetery. He was an outcast because he was so violent and tormented, and no one was able to restrain him as he just broke the chains used to bind him. Day and night, he could be heard shrieking and seen cutting himself with pieces of broken stones.

Then Jesus arrives on the scene, gets out of the boat, and promptly sets the man free whom a legion of demons had possessed. Then Jesus turns around, gets back in the boat, and returns to the other side of the lake again. (Mark 5)

For one man, Jesus made an effort so that he could demonstrate His great love, not for a huge crowd of people, but for the one so he could restore him to health and wholeness again. He sees, He cares and He is always there.

Today whatever you are facing and holding in your heart. Whatever you are hoping and dreaming of, know that Jesus knows all about it. Nothing is hidden from His sight, nor is anything too insignificant for Him to care about. “(Deuteronomy 31:6)

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." (Isaiah 41:10)

Every single person, every man, woman, and child on the planet matters to Jesus. He sees us in our weakness and brokenness; He sees us on our good and bad days. He sees the secret desires of our hearts. When we rejoice, He rejoices too; when we hurt, He hurts also. The Bible says He sympathises with us in our fragility and understands our humanity. Why? Because Jesus being God came as a man, being tempted in every way just as we are, and then conquered sin so that we could be set free to live life as we were created to. (Hebrews 4:14-15).

Today wherever you are and whatever place you are in, Jesus is there, and He has been all along.

“O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. “(Psalm 1391-6)

Prayer: Lord thank you that you are always with me. Regardless of what I have or am going through you promise to never leave me. Thank you that with you I can do all things. In Jesus name Amen.
