If you could see the perfect version of yourself, what would you see? Because that ideal version of you is what and who God sees when He looks at you; He doesn’t see your flaws, imperfections, weaknesses or mess when He looks at you. He sees the heavenly version of you and then works to cause that person to be manifest on earth.
The key to living this out is to engage more often with our perfect self than with our frailties, doubts, low self-image and brokenness. The bible says that when we ask Jesus to be part of our lives, we become an entirely new creation. It’s who we are in Christ, and it’s the complete, restored, free version of us. As we spend time with Jesus and seeking after His way of doing life that amazing version of who we are, is revealed and manifested here on earth. We become transformed the more we engage with who Jesus says we are now, for “everything we could ever need for life and godliness has already been deposited in us by his divine power.” (1 Peter 1:3 TPT)
Engage with your perfect self today by:
Laying aside any thoughts or beliefs that contradict what God says. (2 Cor 10:4-5)
Set your mind on heaven and seek after God and what He wants to do in and through you today. (Matthew 6:33; Colossians 3:1)
Believe who Jesus says you are and ask him to show you what you look like. Then take steps every day to walk out who and what He says about you. You are healed, whole, forgiven, free, and complete in Him, with all you need for life and godliness deposited within you. (Colossians 2:10)
Don’t focus upon the broken, weak, sick or limited version of you. Look to Jesus instead and see who you are in Him and what He says about your life and future. Become familiar with the perfected, whole, amazing version of yourself, because you’re fantastic!
“And our own completeness is now found in him. We are completely filled with God as Christ’s fullness overflows within us. He is the Head of every kingdom and authority in the universe” (Colossians 2:10 TPT)
“Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” (2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT)
“We do not use those things to fight with that the world uses. We use the things God gives to fight with, and they have power. Those things God gives to fight with destroy the strong-places of the devil. We break down every thought and proud thing that puts itself up against the wisdom of God. We take hold of every thought and make it obey Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:4-5 NLT)
Prayer: Lord, thank you that I am a new creation and perfected and complete in you. Please help me to engage with the perfected, healed and whole version of myself as I draw closer to you today. In Jesus name Amen.
