I was listening to the radio yesterday and an ad came on. The first line was “You can’t change the world”. It was meant to be a call to action to help in your small way. It bothered me because I disagree totally.
I believe we can change the world. In fact I believe we have been asked by God Himself to change the world. To make the world better because we are in it. To change those things which are not right or good.
There are many who have gone before us who have done exactly that, “they have changed the world”. Martin Luther King, William Wilberforce, Mother Teresa, Charles Finney, Smiths Wigglesworth, Maria Wordsworth Etta, Jonathan Edwards, Dwight Moody, Billy Graham, Gladys Aylward. The list goes on and on.
There are those who have sacrificed, who have prayed, who have believed for better things. Those who found their purpose and call, and were brave enough and wildly audacious enough to step out and do something!
God speaks. He’s speaking in visions, in dreams, in thoughts and words planted in our hearts and minds, and He wants us to pick up on these things and His plan for each one of us and act! He wants Heaven to be brought to earth. That’s what He’s always wanted. “My will be done on earth as it is in Heaven”.
There is a deep call in each one of us to do the exploits God has revealed to us in our spirits. We get a glimpse of them, but we need to push in and get clarity, and follow through.
The world is full of people who have good intentions.
What the world needs are people who will act on those good intentions!
To start to speak it out, to put our hands and feet, our hearts to the task that is put before each one of us.
There is a needy generation of little ones, of young people who need to be released and set free to be all they were created to be.
There are those who don’t know that they are loved, and who desperately need hope for their future.
There are people all around us, everywhere you look, who need restoration; who need a helping hand. Who need to dream again and look forward to tomorrow!
We can all encourage people around us to try, to think bigger, dream bigger, to believe for better things. We need to teach people how to get back up when they fall and are discouraged; how to not let go of their purpose in the face of defeat. We need to stand beside each other and cheer each other on!
Each of us in our own way, in our own calling and purpose is asked to “Change The World” and together we can!
