11 March – God overshadows you

god overshadows

“Your shadow will always release whatever overshadows you.” Bill Johnson

What we are most aware of and focused on is what will overshadow us. An example is how Peter’s, the disciple of Jesus, shadow healed people as he walked along the road. Peter was so aware that Heaven was overshadowing Him that it was more of a reality than anything or anyone else. (Acts 5:15)

Psalm 91:1 says, “He who dwells in the secret place of the most high will abide under the shadow of the Almighty”.

We live under the shadow of God and He wants us to live being more aware of His presence than anything else. That we would “set our mind on things above, not on the things on the earth, so that we would be instrumental in releasing heaven on earth.” (Col 1:3) “We’ve been designed as a resting place for the spirit of God. For in doing so, we change every environment that we walk into. As we give place to the spirit of God, we will find continually that we will change and shift environments, because what we are aware of is what we release all around us. (Bill Johnson)

The world has some amazing beautiful things but there is also a lot of fear, anxiety, worry and chaos. If we are not careful of the things that we focus upon and turn our hearts towards we will unfortunately gradually become more aware of the chaos and worries of the world than the presence and power of God. We will allow the shadows of the world to cloud our view of God overshadowing us, and the open heavens over our head.

Today consider what you are focused upon? Are you being weighed down by the cares and concerns of the world, or are you seeking to become more aware of God’s power and presence in and upon your life? For your shadow will always release what overshadows you, so let’s look to His goodness and shift and change environments so as to bring heaven to earth.

Prayer: Lord please help me to become more aware of your presence than anything else, and that I would not allow the cares and concerns of this world to cloud my view of you, and the potential I have in you to change situations around me to line up with what heaven is releasing today. In Jesus name Amen
