16 July – What’s your perspective?

heavens-perspective

There are two perspectives we can live from in our lives; an earthly or worldly perspective, or a heavenly one.

A worldly perspective has limitations about what you can and can’t do, and what is possible, whereas a heavenly perspective is one where all things are possible, and God is King.

The more we spend thinking on the things of God and heaven the more heavenly our perspective becomes, and the easier it is for us believe for heaven to impact our earthly circumstances and to change them for the better.

But to live with a heavenly perspective doesn’t just happen. It takes a daily commitment to immerse ourselves in what God says is possible. It takes spending time in God’s word, and getting to know Him and how heaven works. It’s in renewing our thoughts and hearts with God’s words and ways, and being around others who want to live heavenly minded too.

Personally I wouldn’t live any other way. Heaven is awesome, and God wants us to release all the awe and wonder of heaven on earth everyday. Instead of conforming to the pattern and limitations of the world, start looking at your situations from a heavenly perspective, because God wants us to come up out of our earthly viewpoint and see from heaven’s eyes; where the sick are healed, needs are provided for, blind eyes are opened, the deaf hear, the impossible becomes possible, and ideas and creative solutions are released, and people know they are loved.

Let’t practice looking from heaven’s eyes everyday, and responding to people and circumstances from this place, as we let our thoughts be governed by the truth of God’s word that nothing is impossible for God.

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26)

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2)

Therefore, since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” (Colossians 3:2)

Prayer: Lord please help me to live with a heavenly perspective instead of a limiting earthly one, so that I can see people and circumstances through heaven’s eyes, and believe for awesome and amazing things. In Jesus name Amen.
