If you knew that everything was going to be alright, and you were going to be ok, how would you be today?
There are some thing in life that can really stress us out. But in the midst of all of the “noise” of our life God says “everything is going to be ok”.
Jesus himself says ““I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world”
The key is not to try and handle everything in our own strength, trying to fix things ourselves. How many times to we get ourselves into stress and strife trying to “fix” things in our own ability and strength?
We have a BIG God who happens to have created the universe.. He spoke and creation came into being..
He can handle our troubles. The important point is that we need to give them to Him to handle and let him lead us through.
“Cast all your cares upon Jesus for He cares for you” ….and then leave that “care” for Him to handle. (1 Peter 5:7)
He knows the beginning from the end , and everything in between. All He wants us to do is abide in Him. To settle ourselves in Him and let all His strength, wisdom, love and power take care of every issue and circumstance we may face.
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches, He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:4-5)
Today picture yourself sitting down next to Jesus. Take hold of Him and give Him all your burdens and the load you may be carrying. Then let His power, love and peace flow through to you. Our job is simply to receive. It’s His job to lead the way and make sure “everything is going to be alright”. Then go and have a Great Day!
Prayer: Thank you for giving me everything I need today. I give you my cares and burdens, and take hold of and rest in you today. Thank you for your strength, power, love and peace. I receive today as I abide in and stay connected to you. Everything is going to be okay. In Jesus Name Amen.
