7 February - Everything's Going To Be Alright

Today I feel like a few people need to hear that, “Everything is going to be all right”. It may not feel like it is going to be alright, but as I regularly tell myself and the people in my world, “you may be having a tough time right now, but this season won’t last forever and keep holding on and looking to Jesus, and He will work all things together for your good.

It may look a little different sometimes from what you had envisaged or planned, but Jesus is faithful, and everything will be alright because that is what God promises, and if it’s not alright yet, then he hasn’t finished working yet. (Romans 8:28 NIV)

Growing up, I went through some pretty hard things, and I remember learning how much Jesus cares about me and saw everything. I learnt the words of Psalm 139 (click the link to read), and many times since then, they have encouraged and reminded me that Jesus cares for us far, far more than we can understand and knows the minutest detail of our life. You may feel alone, but you’re not because He is there with you.

Over and over in God’s word, he says, I will complete what I’ve started in you, and I am faithful to finish what I have begun, and that we are his workmanship, created for good things that he has prepared in advance for us to do and become. (Philippians 1;6; Ephesians 2;10)

God has a plan, a purpose and a way through every difficulty we may ever face, and he is faithful to what he has promised. Nothing we can do or not do can separate us from his love and care for us, and all of heaven are cheering us on to keep running our race. (Romans 8:31-39; Hebrews 12:1)

Today I want to encourage you that “everything is going to be alright” If you are wondering how or what will happen next, take a moment to quiet your heart and mind and listen to Jesus speaking to your heart. He is there; even if you are walking through a dark valley, you are not alone, and if you let him, he will lead you through the valley and out the other side. “You are and will be okay, and everything’s going to be alright.”

"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13)

“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” (Philippians 1:6 NLT)

“The LORD will fulfil his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever.” (Psalm 138:8 ESV)

Prayer: Lord, thank you that I am never alone and that you will work something good out of it all regardless of what I may be feeling or going through. Please help me to keep my eyes fixed on you and walking with you today as you lead me in the right direction. In Jesus name, Amen.
