God wants us to lay our foundations deep in Him. The person who was building their house on the “earth” was trying to work on the surface. Many people try to use God’s Word as a formula without digging into the principles.
The wise person dug deep to lay foundations on the Rock. If we dig into the Word of God to find the principles, then we will live experience and do the whole Word.
Not just confession
The person who builds their house on their confession (what they say) only will get washed away. But the person who digs deep and lays the foundation of their life on WHAT Jesus said and WHO HE IS will remain, and stay strong even in the storms of life. (Luke 6:48)
This person takes the time to find how the Kingdom works, and then puts these principles and truths into practice.
They know that it has to work because God’s power and Word are behind it. They will be able to stand on it and believe it when the “flood” – trials come.
Dig into the Word today and find out how the Kingdom of God works. It takes time and consistency but you’ll be glad you did.
Prayer: Lord thank you for your Word, and that has the “seeds of the Kingdom” in it and is designed to produce in my life. Holy Spirit lead and guide me as I “dig” into the Word. Help me to lay strong foundations and find all I need today. In Jesus Name Amen.
