Today one of our kids had a haircut, and in explaining to the Barber what he wanted, we were a little misunderstood, and he ended up with something entirely different to what he'd first envisaged. Plus, when inspecting his new haircut, I discovered that he had a very sore scalp, which I previously had no idea about as his longer hair had hidden any problems. Fortunately, it's now been discovered, and I've begun to treat the issue, and healing and new growth can begin.
Hidden things can be everywhere in life, and it's often those things that we've overlooked or think nobody can see that can quietly undermine our health and happiness.
However, as with the hidden problem that our son's new haircut has revealed, Jesus promises that as we come and sit with Him and open our hearts to his healing hand, He will deliver and set us free from those hidden things and replace them with healing, strength, and purpose. His love and strength washes away our sins and causes mercy and grace to flow through the hidden places of our lives that we kept safely out of view.
God loves you and wants you healthy and free, and He will only reveal and bring into the light issues, not to expose or condemn us but because He has compassion for us and wants us whole.
He sees our wounds and shortcomings, and there is no secret He doesn't know about already, for "Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight; everything is uncovered and exposed before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account." And yet He loves us with unfailing love. (Hebrews 4:13)
Don't stay comfortable or plead ignorance about the hidden things in your life. Instead, allow the Holy Spirit to peel back the layers of anything that's been building up or holding you back from your best life so that He can begin to heal and set you free.
As you do, Jesus will cause your weakness to be replaced by strength, turn your poverty into riches, your dark places to be filled with His light, and restore your vision and purpose.
Peel back the layers on the hidden things and let the healing and renewal begin today.
"But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me." (2 Corinthians 12:9-11)

"It is He who reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him." (Daniel 2:22)
'I will restore your health, and I will heal your wounds,' declares the Lord." (Jeremiah 30:17)
Prayer: Lord, thank you for your great love for me. You love me even though you see all the hidden and secret places of my life but neither reject nor despise me but love and call me to rise higher. Please help me respond to your voice and allow your freedom and healing to flow into my hidden places today. In Jesus Name Amen.
