Let’s be real—faith doesn’t mean pretending things aren’t hard. It just means we stop letting the hard things lead the conversation and dictate our life.
David in the Bible knew what it was to feel overwhelmed. He faced enemies, rejection, and years of waiting… but in the middle of all that, he discovered something powerful: God had set a table for him right there in the middle of it. Not after it was over. During.
Faith and trusting God is learning to sit at that table—to be honest about the pain and what you might be experiencing right now, but being more focused on the One who prepares peace in the middle of it.
Action Steps:
Tell God what’s hard right now—He can handle it.
Write down 3 things He’s provided in this season (peace, strength, a friend).
Read Psalm 23 slowly and ask, “Where is He inviting me to sit today?” He't got what you need!
Think and Say:“I’m not ignoring what’s hard. I’m just choosing to sit with Jesus instead of fear.”“This might feel messy—but Jesus is right here with me, and that changes everything.”
Verse:“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies…” — Psalm 23:5 (NIV)
Prayer:Jesus, thank You for meeting me in the middle of it all. Please help me shift my focus from what’s fighting me, to You—the One who fights for me. In Jesus name Amen.
