20 Mar - Go For It

It would be a great pity if we spent months and even years waiting for God to say something, and all the time he'd been waiting on us to do something.

The fear of messing up or failing prevents many people from doing something great, pursuing their dreams, stepping out, taking a risk on a new venture, relationship, or what God has placed in their hearts

But, “God’s biggest priority isn’t removing failure as an option, but reminding us, He loves us as we try.” (Bob Goff)

I’ve learnt over the years that when I’m not moving forward or growing in my life that it’s a good idea to examine my heart and go back and check the last thing I felt confident God had said to me, or I felt prompted to do and to see if I acted upon it.

Most of us don’t need more instructions or even more time, but only to realise that God believes in us, so we should believe in ourselves too. It's as Peter made the bold move to step out of the boat, that he walked on the water, whilst the others trembled in fear in the safety of the boat. (Matthew 14:22-33)

I have a feeling that most of the time, God is saying, “you know what to do and what you want, so go for it.” The problems arise, however when we don’t act quickly enough on what we know to do, which hinders us from becoming all that God created us to be and being able to take hold of the blessings He has for us. Then instead of growing, we revisit our past and go backward.

Today I encourage you to go for it. If you want more faith and to step into your best life then use what faith, gifting, and skills u have and do more stuff 😊

Shake off the past, seize the opportunities, and what I call Jesus moves that He brings your way, and look ahead rather than behind., As you seek to act you’ll know what to do and the path to take, and God and all of heaven will be cheering you on as you try.

"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” (Psalm 32:8)

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

Prayer: Lord, thank you that you are my biggest fan. Please help me act on what I know and seek your best for me. Thank you that you bless that work of my hands and that you are the way maker in every area of my life. In Jesus name Amen.
