Today, I've been catching up on some Uni lectures as I missed some whilst travelling. It's been a reminder as I worked through each exam quiz and lab to take one week and day at a time.
I used to worry about things in the future and how I would handle particular circumstances until I realised that God gives us the grace for what we need when we need it. We don't need Grace – supernatural strength, ability and divine favour while merely thinking about stepping out or acting upon our faith and what we dream and believe for.
God gives Grace when we need it; when we forget that, we will start worrying about tomorrow and allowing fear and lack of trust to undermine our faith and joy.
Whether you're studying, juggling life's busyness, navigating different relationships, parenting, health or financial issues or trying something new today, whatever you are walking through, God promises that He has given and will continue to give you all the grace, favour and ability you need to do and become all that he has destined for you.
God's grace is sufficient. Sufficient means to be possessed of unfailing strength and be strong, to defend, ward off, and be satisfied and contented.
Whatever God asks of us or leads us to, He promises His grace is sufficient for the task, and we can't and don't have to earn it.
Grace is extended towards us, bought and paid for by Jesus. We take hold of this gift and let it work in us. We exchange our feelings of unworthiness for His acceptance, our failures for His supernatural ability to work miracles and answer prayer, and our weakness for His strength.
If you are concerned about tomorrow, don't be. There's no point worrying about something that might never happen or that you don't have to face or do yet. Trust in God and that he will perfect everything that concerns you, and as you keep your eyes and heart fixed firmly on him, he will be faithful to help you walk in the fullness of who you are in Him and to realise you have all the grace and strength you require.
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9).
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13)
Whatever and whoever the person, situation, or circumstances you may be facing, know this – His Grace is Enough!
Prayer: Lord, I need to experience your grace in and through my life. Thank you that your Grace is a gift that brings the supernatural ability for whatever I face. When I am weak, you are strong in me. I receive your Grace right now. In Jesus' name Amen
