When we ask Jesus to be a part of our lives, He sets us free so that we don't have to struggle, but only choose to believe what He has done for us and surrender our way of doing things for His.
Every day, we get to choose whether we will fill our minds and hearts with negativity and fear or build our faith by reading and hearing what God says in His Word and making time to spend in His presence.
We get to choose what we allow to take root in our hearts and whether we will allow our circumstances to dictate to us or whether we will declare and dictate to our circumstances and what God has spoken about us.
When I'm struggling with an area or need a breakthrough, I seek to get "fat" on God's promises in the area I need freedom and a breakthrough in.
If it's my health, I go to the Word about what God says about my health and freedom from sickness; if it's finances, I need to seek what God says about money and the blessing; if it's relationships, our children, our future, anything, God wants us to know His will and to get hold of His promises so that we will renew our minds with what He says and then start declaring them. We allow God's power to flow through us when we do this.
Jesus said even faith as small as a mustard seed has the power to move mountains. (Matthew 17:20)
The Word does the work because God and His Word are one and faith in what He has promised will work for anyone who'll take it and believe what it says. (John 1:1),
Jesus wants you to walk out your freedom in every area of your life. He paid the price to purchase it for you, so I encourage you to position and aim your faith in the area where you want to experience freedom and a breakthrough and choose to put God's promises and love to work in your life today.
"If the Son (Jesus) sets you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36)
"Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain,
'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." (Matthew 17:20)
"The LORD has established His throne in the heavens, And His sovereignty rules over all. Bless the Lord, you His angels, Mighty in strength, who perform His Word. Obeying the voice of His Word. Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, You who serve Him doing His will." (Psalm 103:10-21)
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I thank you that you have done everything already for me. Help me fill my heart and mind with what you say, rather than listening to the lies of the devil or any negative circumstances I may be facing. You are bigger than my circumstances or past, and I choose to put the promises to work for me today. In Jesus Name, Amen.
