One of the biggest things that often comes against us in life is FEAR!
Fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of being disappointed, fear of not being worthy, fear of our past, fear of our future. Fear of the “What if’s?”
Fear has been defined in an acrostic as False Evidence Appearing Real, and more often than not fear makes us think that the worst will happen!
Jesus said in John 10:10 “the devil comes to rob, kill and destroy, but I have come to give you abundant life”. We sometimes get a glimpse of that abundant life that Jesus wants to give us, and then too often it is stolen from us by the cares of life, our fears and worry.
That’s because the devil who is called the “father of lies” uses the natural emotion of fear against us to make us feel helpless in resisting him. He wants us to doubt God, and ourselves because it makes him appear stronger than he really is!
DEVIL’S TACTICS
The devil’s tactic is to make us feel like we are all alone. His objective is to warp our image of the world and ourselves and cause us to fear
He tries to make us believe we have to strive for success and achievement before we are acceptable. He speaks the lie that we have to live in fear and intimidation, and all too often we listen.
We are all created in the image of God, and are precious in His sight. Our objective in the fight against fear is to grab hold of all that God has given us and to only say what the God says in His Word!
To know “who” we are in Jesus and “what He has done for us”.
Imagine if we only believed, and only said “what God said about us”. What if we only spoke what God said about others and life’s situations?
How different we would be!
God has so much to show us, for us to experience in Him, to “LIVE” this life He has given to each one of us. Let’s not let fear and intimidation blind us to how much God loves us and How much He is for us!
Today instead of living and speaking fear declare what God says about you, and let that be “your” tactic to combat fear!
“I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future declares the Lord.” Jeremiah 29:11
“What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, freely give us all things.” (Romans 8:31-32)
Prayer: Lord help me to not be afraid because you are with me and I am never lone. I stand against fear today and choose to believe what you say about my life and situation rather than the lies of the enemy and what I can only see in the natural. In Jesus name Amen.
