28 Jan – “The light line”

The splendour of God and the realm of the spirit were once as tangible and accessible to mankind as the material realm. When sin came into the world, with it came darkness. Man now found that the whole realm of the spirit, of the supernatural, had vanished and mankind was trapped by darkness below the “light line”.

What’s the light line?

It’s the line that separates the spiritual realm from the material realm. It exists because the light of God released on the first day of Creation functions on two different levels. The higher level constitutes the world of the spirit, and the lower (or slower) level constitutes the physical world of matter.

The Bible says at creation God made both the seen and unseen realm For by him were all things created that are in heaven and that are in earth, visible and invisible” (Col 1:16)

The invisible realm above the light line is where angels and other spirit beings live. Heaven is there. All kind of glorious things are there.

Above the light line spirit to spirit is firm and tangible, just as in the natural realm flesh-to-flesh is firm and tangible.

Angels can touch one another. They can see each other. They aren’t just floating mists, disappearing and reappearing. Their bodies have form and substance just as ours do, but they are made of spiritual rather than material substance.

Occasionally when Angels are on special assignments at the direction of the Lord they slow down to our speed and make an appearance. But otherwise natural senses can’t see them.

Our spirits also aren’t a shapeless vapour. They have the same form our natural bodies have. Our spirits fit into our bodies like a hand fits into a glove.

When sin came in, mankind was trapped below the “light line” and confined to the natural world.

Now people have become accustomed to that confinement.

Many people have even come to believe the visible realm is all that exists. They deny any reality they can’t perceive with their natural senses.

But when you acknowledge Jesus; you choose to leave your old way of life and sin behind you, you are born again, a re-created spirit.

Therefore if anyone is IN CHRIST he is a new creation; old things have passed away, behold all things have become new”. (2 Cor 5:17)

We are re-united with the realm above the light line. We have access to all the things of heaven, just as Jesus does.

As He is so we are in the world” -1 John 4:17

And He is before all things, and in Him all things exist”. (Col 1:17)

Jesus in the New Testament had an imperishable resurrected body. A body with the glory flowing through His being, a body that is both spiritual and material, and that operates equally well on both sides of the light line.

In this body Jesus can move at will from the spirit realm to the natural realm. He can appear on earth as He did to the disciples seemingly out of thin air, and then vanish as quickly as He came. He was no ghost. He said to His disciples “Behold my hands and feet that it is I myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have. Luke 24:39

You see we are trans dimensional beings. Mankind was created that way and Jesus reinstated that to us.

We are to walk in the light as He is in the light.” 1( John 1:7)

The Garden of Eden described in the bible was a convergence point. Adam and Eve could travel between spiritual and physical realm.

Jesus came to remind us what and who we are. Our genetic lineage comes from Jesus. We need to start redefining what is normal. What’s normal for Jesus is normal for us.

Jesus revealed who we are, “Put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him”. (Col 3:10)

The cares and worries of this world, choke our ability to engage above the light line. Everyday we need to be aware of  those things that will keep us from experiencing what should be normal for us.

God wants us to be able to see, to hear, to experience and to live life above the light line.

Let go of the world and embrace heaven. Embrace Jesus. In Him we live and move and have our being. “Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth”. (Colossians 3:2)

Start with little things. Start thinking upon “Whatever is pure, whatever is lovely. Take the time to find the door into the realm of Heaven. If you yield to it you will fall into Jesus.

Remember worries and concerns pull you out; pull you back to earth. Back to only living below the line, to the lower, slower realms. There is so much more!

Don’t let the things of the world, the worries, deceitfulness of riches, the longing to satisfy the cravings of the flesh and every other thing that tries to cheat and distract you from discovering and living as you were created to. Wake up! See things for what they are.

Cast your cares upon Jesus, shake off the sin that so easily entangles, and choose and embrace Heaven. It’s not hard. Find the door, (His name is Jesus), and enter in. You’ll be so glad you did.

Prayer: Lord thank you that I am a new creation. That I can see, that I can hear, that I can know and live in the realm of the spirit and experience heaven. Show me what my “normal” life is in you. In Jesus Name. Amen.
