4 August - A Good Report

I had a win this week as I've been working on securing a venue for a client's performance for the past few weeks. In my business of working in music, it is usually more economical to have two shows together over a weekend. Therefore I needed two venues within close proximity to make a particular show financially viable.

That sounds very simple, but it often takes a lot of time communicating back and forth with different venues, owners, and managers to secure one performance, let alone two or three in a weekend. The past month I've been busy trying to make a certain run of shows work and coming to dead ends until I focused on and brought the matter to God in prayer.

As I prayed, I felt the Lord say, "Just keep pushing the doors I show you", which I did, and yesterday, I had not one venue saying yes to the show and weekend I needed, but four! Plus because of all my work I have made a variety of new contacts and opportunities in the process.

I love how God is always working behind the scenes and that when we pray, He often brings the answer in an, "exceedingly more than we have asked and prayed for" kind of way. (Ephesians 3:20)

Plus when we share the breakthrough and give a good report of how God has moved it blesses and encourages both others and us all over again.

The angels are waiting for you to speak God's promises so they can act on your behalf (Psalm 103:20), and God delights to grant us the desires of our hearts. (Psalm 37:4)

When we ask according to God's word and trust that He wants to bless everything good that we put our hand to life becomes easier, and we realise we are never alone. It may not always turn out the way we first thought, but God will be working to bring good our way if we just keep walking with Him. (Psalm 103:20; Hebrews 1:13-14)

Today I encourage you to bring your concerns, requests, and heart's desires to God. Write them down if it helps to get them out of your head and heart before God. Then as He answers, you'll have a way to remember, and be encouraged by all the times God has shown himself strong on your behalf and revealed His love and care for you. (Psalm 116:1-2)

"And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news." (Romans 10:15 CEV)

"Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad." (Proverbs 12:25)

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)

Prayer: Lord, please help me remember that you want to help me in the big and smaller things of my day and life. I trust you today and ask………………………………………………………..and thank you for all the times you have answered and come through for me in the past. In Jesus name Amen.
