I was sharing with a friend yesterday about how the bible talks about us being seated in heavenly places, and that death isn't the access point or doorway to heaven; Jesus is.
Jesus said, " I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly." (John 10:9-10)
God wants us to see from on high, from our heavenly seat, when we rise above the problems, noise, and challenges of our day so that we can see from His perspective, rather than always struggling below and under things. He invites us to mount or rise to a higher point and come up and see from heaven's eyes. Jesus ascended from earth into heaven before his friend's eyes and it's His example to ascend or come up higher that we can follow. (Luke 24:50-53).
Up there we are able to soar above, in the frequency and dimensions of heavenly places where the weights and burdens of the world are far less likely to pull us down or cloud our view. Things often make far more sense as we see a way through and gain an understanding and knowledge of what and how God is going about things.
God doesn't want us to think of ourselves as under the circumstances or feel like He isn't accessible, but that we can draw close to Him. It's why the bible talks about us being seated in heavenly places and setting our minds on things above. As we take that step, we will gain perspective and understanding of who we are in Jesus and how small any problem or issue is compared to the authority He has given us in Him. (Colossians 3:2; Ephesians 2:6)
Jesus, who ascended through the clouds into heaven, says, "Come to me; come up here and see what I am doing and saying, and renew your strength, power, and perspective. (Matthew 11:28-30)
Today take a moment, look to Jesus and rise above it all, for "as you dwell up there where the air is clear, where the light is bright, and there's no more fear, you'll know your place, you'll know your name, you'll know God's called you to do great things." (Take a Moment - United Pursuit)
"For He raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus." (Ephesians 2:6)
"He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly. Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary". (Isaiah 40:30-31)
Prayer: Lord, I'm choosing to untether myself from the cares and concerns of the world, rise above any of the struggles or challenges of my day, and see and gain perspective from where you are. I'm going up to the high places so that I can see from your perspective and enjoy my heavenly view. In Jesus name Amen.
