There’s a thread that runs through the entire Bible—and if you look closely, you’ll see it: God restores.
💔 Joseph — restored from betrayal and years spent in a jail cell
👑 David — restored after failure and really messing up
🏠 The Prodigal Son — restored after rebelling and spending all his inheritance
🐓 Peter — restored after denial
💧 The Woman with the Issue of Blood — restored after years of suffering
⚰️ Lazarus — restored to life
🧎♀️ The Widow of Nain — her son restored to life
Each of them had a moment—often right at their lowest place—where God stepped in and changed everything. Not always instantly. Not always in the way they expected,. But always on time.
He restored what was stolen, broken, lost, or given away. He heals hearts, redeems failures, breathes life back into dead places, and builds beauty from ashes. And the truth is: He’s still doing it today.
And what God did for all those people who have gone before, He can do for you.
Even when you can’t see it, even when it feels slow or painful, and you wonder what on earth God is doing. He is working behind the scenes. Romans 8:28 reminds us:
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
It’s not just random. There is purpose in the process. As our daughter Shara Rose sings:🎶 “There’s purpose in the process, even if I can’t see it yet…”
Let that truth sink in.
You are not forgotten.
You are not too far gone.
You are seen.
So keep trusting. Keep looking at Jesus and what He has promised over your life. He's still writing your story—and He writes restoration better than anyone.
Action Steps:
Write down one area of your life you’re believing God to restore—relationships, health, dreams, identity.
Read through one Bible story of restoration this week (start with Joseph or the Prodigal Son). Let it build your hope that God is able to restore.
Speak this daily: “God is not done with my story. He is restoring me." "Even when I might not be able to see it, or feel it, He is working for my good today."
Prayer:
Lord, Thank You that You are the God who restores. Even when I can’t see, I choose to trust Your love for me and Your process. Please heal the broken places in me and help me to remember that you are still writing my story—and it's amazing. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
No matter what season you’re in—God is restoring. Let Him lead you. Trust the process. He’s not finished yet. 💛
(Encouraged by this? Share it with a friend who needs reminding that God is writing their story and that He is the God who restores)
