I love the Japanese artform of Kintsugi, where broken pieces of ceramics are restored using gold lacquer. The gold is visible in the joins and makes the vessel whole, unique and beautiful.
However, as I was spending some time with Jesus, he had something to say about how he mends our brokenness. He said, “You love the art of Kintsugi where gold is applied to broken pieces and used to fill in the cracks. But when I heal and restore, my glory and presence are like gold, bringing all the broken pieces of people’s hearts and lives together. But I do not stop there. When you allow me to move in your life, the golden glory of my presence seeps into every nook and crevice of your life and absorbs and dissolve all the darkness, bitterness, pain and hurt and covers it with my glory. You no longer see or need to live with dark places in your life because I dissolve them all if you will allow me to.”
When we invite Jesus into our lives, he brings healing and wholeness. He breaks the hold of negativity, sickness, shame, poverty, and anything designed to steal our life and joy.
The bible says it this way, “Christ paid the full price to set us free from the curse of the law. He ABSORBED the curse completely as He became a curse in our place. For it is written, “Everyone who is hung upon a tree is cursed.” Jesus DISSOLVED the curse from our lives so that in him all the blessings of Abraham can be poured out upon gentiles. And now through faith we receive the promised Holy Spirit who lives in us.” (Galatians 3:13-14 TPT)
Jesus redeemed us from anything that would steal and destroy our life by absorbing it completely into Himself. Thus, he became a curse for us and, at the same time, dissolved the curse completely.
Today be encouraged that Jesus has done all that is needed for you to be healed and to bring wholeness to your life. Allow Him to not only come and fill in the gaps where you’ve been hurt or broken but also to absorb and dissolve any darkness, hurt, pain or worry so that only his presence and effect on your life will be evident.
“But now I will heal and mend them. I will make them whole and bless them with an abundance of peace and security.” (Jeremiah 33:6)
Prayer: Lord please take my life and absorb and dissolve any brokenness or darkness in my life. Thankyou that I am healed and whole in you today. In Jesus name Amen.
