24 August - God's Treasure Hunts

I love treasure hunts and the excitement and anticipation of finding the not-so-obvious treasure hidden for others. Whether that's as simple as an Easter egg hunt, geocaching, the thought of actually searching for long-lost treasure with an X marking the spot or even the bargains I often find while op shopping.

I think God likes treasure hunts and hiding treasure and precious things for us to find too. We have unlimited access to his Kingdom through our relationship with Jesus, but he does often hide certain things for us in the hope that we will search for both Him and the myriad of other hidden treasures out. "It is the glory of God to conceal a matter and the glory of Kings to search it out" (Psalm 25:2)

Once a person accepts Jesus' gift of forgiveness and chooses to be part of His family, they are adopted into royalty. The treasures of God's Kingdom are not hidden from us; they are hidden for us.

We are Kings and priests with the authority of His Kingdom and heaven. (Revelation 1:6) As kings - people who know who they are and belong to, we have legal access and a responsibility to access the treasure that is within reach. For when we do, it won't just have the potential to benefit us but also multiple generations.

Momentum is created as even one person in a generation accesses the treasures of the Kingdom of heaven and it is able to flow down to the next.

The breaking off of poverty, sickness, and lack that one person accesses secrets of the Kingdom will enable others to stand on their shoulders.

Jesus himself said to his disciples, "you will do greater things than I have done while I've been with you". (John 14:12-14)

There is treasure and mysteries that God wants us to apprehend and grab hold of that are within our reach. They are of His Kingdom and realm, which has no end. Everything in heaven that He wants to be released on earth is in that kingdom realm that Jesus said is at hand.

Today I encourage you to start digging and spending time getting to know what is available and obtainable to you in Jesus.

Begin your treasure hunt by reading and studying His Word (The Bible) and taking time to seek Jesus and to be in His presence. The Kingdom of heaven is present, and there are treasure deposits available and accessible for you here and now.

Find the treasure and you will connect more with your purpose, your identity, and the one who loves you most.

"Call me, and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things you do not know". (Jeremiah 33:3)

"But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He rewards those who diligently seek Hm. " (Hebrews 11:6)

"It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him." (Daniel 2:22)

"For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God." (1 Corinthians 2:10)

Prayer: Lord, I ask you to reveal the hidden things of your Kingdom to me. Please show me who I am and who you are so I can walk in the realms of your Kingdom, bring heaven to earth, and impact generations. In Jesus name Amen.
