I’ve been contemplating all we can attain in life and how we can learn to focus on all the possibilities and opportunities before us rather than what we have to lose.
There is so much to look forward to if we let go of our losses and the fear of what may happen and instead focus on all we have to gain in life
Gains are found when we choose to step into that opportunity, move on a relationship, apply for that position, go on that trip, or do something we’ve never done before.
A helpful tip in making changes to our lives and winning and not losing is to focus on positive goals and what we want to achieve. Focusing on a positive goal is much more effective than looking at our failures and any negatives we want to stop.
It’s also important to make realistic plans. For example, it’s not enough to have a goal of exercising more. We need to pick specific days and add that to our daily routine.
God wants to help us succeed in life and to be the best version of ourselves we can be. He is there to help us, and it’s okay to call out to Him, “I need help with this,” because we were never meant to go through life doing it alone. God says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
Choose to focus on the positive actions you want to make and the gains rather than the fear of experiencing losses as you step into your future.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
“The faithful love of the Lord never ends. His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.” (Lamentations 3:22-23)
Prayer: Lord, thank you that every day is a fresh chance to begin again. Help me see the amazing life you have planned for me and focus on the gains instead of the losses. In Jesus name Amen.
