4 Jan – Staying Motivated

What do we do when we know what our goals and dream are, have it clearly before us, know what we need to do and the plan to walk it out but then we start to lose motivation and focus?  Our dreams suddenly seem far fetched, out of reach and it all seems like it’s too hard.

What will help at these times is some smaller goals and a plan to give us some quicker results, which will renew our confidence and motivation because we see and are encouraged that things are happening in our lives.

Today, if your goals and vision are starting to look out of reach, or you are needing some motivation I recommend finding 10 things you can get done today or over the next week or two.

Such goals as; Cleaning the car, having those health checkups, spring cleaning your cupboard, or even just one draw, writing those encouraging thankyou note you’ve been meaning to write, making  those phone calls you’ve been putting off, reading that book, finishing the last bit of an assignment.

Do 10 things that you can do now and as you complete them tick them off.

We all need encouraging and the practice of completing small goals and tasks helps motivate us to stick to the plan and vision we have for our future, so we can achieve our bigger dreams and goals.

Today write down 10 small goals and get them done this week.

“I can do all things through him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13)

But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” 2 Chroicles 15:7)

May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.” (Psalm 20:4)

Prayer: Lord please help me to be motivated and to keep moving forward. In Jesus name Amen
