We are all capable of so much more than many of us give ourselves credit for. Perhaps in fact many of us do ourselves, and the loving God who created us a huge disservice by living far below our potential.
God expects us all to continually be growing, expanding, discovering and successfully overcoming our own unique challenges and situation. He made us to go from faith to faith, ever increasing in our capacity and He encourages and expects that we would also be dealing with our issues so they do not hinder us or negatively impact on the lives of others.
Unfortunately so many people don’t live that way and allow their situations, past and undealt with issues to keep them small, beaten and incapacitated by fear and negative circumstances. Far too often we make excuses for not being who we know we could and have the potential to be, and worse still many think that is okay. Unfortunately when people consistently excuse themselves and their behaviour and fail to seek to rise to their potential they inevitably choose to never become who God planned and purposed them to be. To be honest it is far easier to for us all to give in to our weaknesses and fears rather than to press forward and seek to fulfil our call and purpose for being here. It is easier but it isn’t God’s best for us.
However today as I write this I have a new resolve to quite simply be….. spectacular!
Because being spectacular is actually how we win…how we win against our past, our hurts, other people’s smallness and any attacks on us as a person. The best way to win in life and not allow anything or anyone to get in the way of us fulfilling our God given destiny is to seek to be the best at what we do. To be the best person we can be, to excel, explore, to push against any limitations and to face and overcome every fear. And then to stand on the rooftops and shout about it.
When you make the decision to be spectacular many people won’t understand and some will even try to take you down, speak against you, allow jealousy to dictate their actions and quite simply be down right awful. But I encourage you to not allow any of that to take you out. Don’t allow the devil’s tactics to undermine you as a person and to cause you to doubt who you are in God. You are spectacular and you were made to stand out.
As Marianne Williamson once wrote, “We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
Everyday God desires that we choose to focus ahead and not behind as we push past our individual limits and learn from, rather than be beaten by our setbacks. To determine with God’s power at work in us to really live the life for which God made us uniquely for.
Today rise up and be a person of faith and persistence and start to breakthrough any limitations, fear, heaviness or lack you may be experiencing. Focus on and remain connected to Jesus, who is the author and finisher of our faith and seek and ask Him for all the strength and wisdom you need as you go out and be spectacular! (Hebrews 12:1-3)
“And I pray that he would unveil within you the unlimited riches of his glory and favour until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with his divine might and explosive power.” (Ephesians 3:16 TPT)
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.(Isaiah 40:31)
Prayer: Lord thank you for the amazing abilities you have created and released within me. Please help me today to not think of myself less than I ought, but to stay connected to you and to go and be spectacular, brilliant, gorgeous and talented because I am a child of God. I choose to live my best life and to rise up to my fullest potential. In Jesus name Amen.
