The Hidden things – perhaps everyone has them in their life. Those things that we think nobody else can see and we often find hard to acknowledge about ourselves.
However these hidden things inevitably have a way of working themselves into every area of our life much like the tentacles of an octopus or the roots of a giant tree. Searching, stretching, reaching and attempting to squeeze the love and joy out of anything and everything. The dark hidden things in our lives seek to strangle freedom like the cutting of one’s oxygen supply, denying us much needed peace.
But there is hope. Jesus promises that in our weakness He will make us strong. He literally promises to pour love and strength into us; a strength that overrides our failings, any strongholds, weaknesses and poor self image. His love and strength washes away our sins and causes mercy and grace to flow through the hidden places of our lives that we kept safely out of view.
God loves you and He wants you free; to be able to “breath” and to know peace. He doesn’t want you to be always looking over your shoulder, continually struggling and feeling unworthy and second rate. He draws all of us into the light, not to expose or condemn us but because He has compassion for us.
He sees our wounds and shortcomings and there is no secret He doesn’t know about already, for “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight; everything is uncovered and exposed before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”And yet He loves us with an unfailing love. (Hebrews 4:13)
Today don’t remain captive to the hidden things in your life. Allow the Holy Spirit to unravel the entanglement and bondage that these secrets have caused within you. Let Him into every nook and cranny of your life and then hold onto Him like He is your oxygen supply! He will cause your weakness to be replaced by a strength, turn your poverty into riches, your dark places to be filled with His light, and restores your vision and purpose.
Let Him deliver you from the hidden things today!
God says, “For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! “ (Ephesians 5:8)
“The Light (who is Jesus) shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. “(John 1:5)
“It is He who reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.” (Daniel 2:22)
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9-11)
Prayer: Lord thank you for your great love for me. You love me even though you see all the hidden and secret places of my life and where I often struggle or feel ashamed. You neither reject or despise me, but love and call me home to you. Please help me Lord to respond to your voice, and to allow your light and strength to flow into my hidden places today. In Jesus Name Amen.
