The universe is quite an incredible place. Just contemplating the immense number of stars is mind-boggling. For instance, if every person were to count different stars, each person would have to count over 50 billion before anyone would run out of stars to count.
A snowflake is created from a water droplet formed around a minute dust particle which has frozen. Each is unique, beautiful and detailed, yet all have six sides.
All around us, creation says, "Look at how I was created; look at the infinite wisdom and insight with which I was formed. Look at the sunrise and the sunset, the ebb and flow of the tides, the rhythm of the seasons, the beauty of a newborn baby or the greatness of the heavens above on a cloudless night" "Look and see", creation cries out there is a God, a creator, of infinite love and limitless power.
God says He knows the number of stars and calls each by name. (Psalm 147:4) He knows every hair upon your heads or the lack thereof, whatever the case may be. He knows when you sit and when you rise. He knows your thoughts and the hidden things in your hearts before you speak them. He sees and knows everything, and amid all this greatness and majesty, He cares infinitely about and loves you. (Psalm 147:4; Matthew 10:30)
"You know when I sit down and when I rise; You understand my thought from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And are intimately acquainted with all my ways.…" (Psalm 139:2)
If He knows us and loves us that much, should that not cause us to trust Him? To trust in His plan and purposes for our lives. Trust that He has it all covered. Because when we meditate on God's greatness, we soon realize He is more than capable of handling our every need and prayer.
Today, think about just how powerful, creative, and unlimited God is. There are no limits or boundaries He cannot cross or override. There are no limits to His love. It is unfailing and faultless. Some things may cause us to wow in life, but perhaps the greatest is the reality that we are loved by the one who created it all, and He did it all for us.
Prayer: Lord, I'm going to take some time to think about all you have done and acknowledge your greatness. To take the time to say Wow, and thank you. In Jesus name Amen.
