Facing the unknowns in life is something most of us struggle with. If you are anything like me you like “having all your ducks in a row” and knowing what is going to happen and how it’s all going to play out.
Unfortunately life usually isn’t like that and most of the time any “ducks” I have aren’t anywhere near being in a row. Instead they’re often floating all over the place and I’m left with the choice of either having a melt down and stress out or choosing to trust that God is going to make all things come together and work out.
Lately I’ve been determining to try and filter every situation I face through God’s promise that He will make all things work together for our good. (Romans 8:28) Which essentially also means that if it’s not good yet, then God isn’t finished working yet.
That does mean I have to be prepared to let go of all of my “ducks” and trust them into God’s capable hands, as I lean on the truth that He’s got my life and the people and things I care about all under control and in His care.
Time after time I’ve seen God do amazing, spectacular things. It’s just that those spectacular things are not usually in my timing, but they are always on time to bring about the best result and the biggest praise story. The longer it takes the bigger the opportunity for a great God story in our life.
Today no matter what you are facing I encourage you to turn your face to Jesus, and to make the decision to trust and believe that He will work all things together for good and to bring your “ducks” into all the right places.
He is faithful and the one famous for creating beauty from ashes, turning our mourning into dancing, making highways for our feet to walk on and opening doors that no man can shut. If it’s taking a while hang in there, lean into His grace and know that your praise story is going to be massive!
“He will give a crown of beauty of ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning and festive praise instead of despair” (Isaiah 61:3)
‘And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” (Romans 8:28 NLT)
Prayer: Lord thank you for your grace that helps me to keep holding on to you and your promises. Thank you for working all things together for my good and for the praise story I am going to have to tell. In Jesus name Amen.
