“Feed your faith and starve your doubts”. It’s one way we avoid getting bogged down in the details of how what we are praying for is going to happen. The “how” is God’s concern, not our’s.
When we stress and strive rather than seeking God for the strategy, it feeds our doubts and fears and fuels beliefs that what God says is impossible.
Instead, God encourages us to feed our faith by spending time with Him, studying His word and being around others who know Him. Our “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” We choose to trust, speak out His Word and believe knowing that God will assign His angels to take care of the rest. (Romans 10:17)
“Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?” (Hebrews 1:4)
We get to choose everyday, “Will I feed my faith or feed my doubts? Will I stand on what God has spoken or be moved and intimidated by what I see?“
As the lyrics of the song Waymaker state,
“Even when I don’t see it, You’re working Even when I don’t feel it, You’re working You never stop, You never stop working
See may not see or feel God working but He and all of heaven are constantly working to bring to fulfilment His promises for our life. We believe, pray and stand on his promises and He acts.
Smith Wigglesworth said, – “Fear looks; faith jumps. Faith never fails to obtain its object. If I leave you as I found you, I am not God’s channel. I am not here to entertain you, but to get you to the place where you can laugh at the impossible.”
Faith gets us to the place where we laugh at the impossible because all things become possible for those who believe. (Mark 9:23)
Today I encourage you to doubt your doubts and to laugh at the impossible. Even when you don’t see or feel it, God is working, so take hold of His promises, feed your faith, starve your doubts, and keep believing until you obtain the promise.
Jesus said. “All things are possible to him who believes!”…(Mark 9:21-23)
“We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.“ (Hebrews 6:12)
Prayer: Lord, I choose to stand today and not be moved by what I see in the natural, but only by what you say, and I believe. You are the waymaker and promise keeper, and through faith and patience, I inherit the promises. In Jesus name Amen.
