Just because people don’t believe or have difficulty comprehending the power, perfection and loving heart of God doesn’t mean it’s not true. God won’t force us to believe what He says, or what He has done, or even to walk in the awesome plan and purpose He uniquely created each of us for. That decision is entirely up to us.
I for one want to grab hold of with both hands all for which He took hold of me. I don’t want to miss opportunities because I didn’t choose to listen or believe. What a waste; when we can do, and be so much more.
When God reveals things to us there is a process. First He speaks potential and revelation, and a seed of faith is planted. Then we face the problem of realising we need more faith, which takes us to receiving the promises in His word, which fixes the problem. Then we receive the plan and strategy to move forward.
What comes next is what I term “putting the wheels on our faith?
5 . Process stage – “The fight of faith”. When we receive a promise from God there is a process to be walked through, it doesn’t usually just happen. The thinking “if it’s God’s will it’ll happen” has caused far too many of us to miss out.
There is battle going on and when you start to walk by faith and put your believing to work, opposition will test your conviction. This is where those faith muscles we’ve been building in knowing God and His word come to the fore.
We have to stand up to any opposition, negativity, doubt and unbelief. We fight with our faith and the knowledge of who we are in Jesus and the authority we have, so that our promise comes to pass. God says we have overcome, and that we are more than conquerors. So don’t lie down, get up, stand in the revelation you have received, take the promises in God’s word (which God says is your sword,) and use it to push through any opposition.
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)
“In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” (Ephesians 6:17)
Continue to trust God, do what He tells you to do, and keep believing.
Prayer: Lord help me to see who I am in you, and to stand on your promises for my breakthrough. In Jesus name Amen
