5th May - “When Life’s Too Loud, Try This”

Let’s be honest—Life can be loud. From news headlines to notifications, all the family, study and work needs, to everyday demands—it all adds up. It’s no wonder we feel anxious or overwhelmed. But in all the noise, there’s one voice we need most: Jesus.

Isaiah 26:3 says, “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You.”  When you quiet the world around you and fix your thoughts on Jesus, peace follows. And His peace isn’t temporary or fragile—it’s steady, deep, and grounding.

Even if the world feels chaotic, you can find calm when you sit quietly with Him. He sees you and knows everything that is going on in your world. He hasn’t missed a detail and He’s already smoothing out your path ahead (Isaiah 26:7 NLT).

Today, I was reminded of this and so I paused. I turned off the noise and just sat with Him. No agenda. No phone. And in that stillness, I was reminded: He’s with me and He's also already gone ahead of me. He’s smoothing out the path I’m walking.

You don’t have to be afraid of what’s next. The world might be loud, but Jesus is with you, with a peace that holds you steady no matter what’s happening around you.

Action Steps:

  • Take 10 minutes of no-screen quiet today.

  • Read Isaiah 26:3 and write down how it makes you feel and what God shows you.

  • Ask: what’s been louder than God in my life lately?

  • Take a big breath in, hold for 4 secs, and then exhale and let go of any cares and the "loud" in your life and give it to Jesus.

  • Now breathe in His peace.

Think and Say:

  • "Jesus' peace is greater than the world’s noise." I receive His peace today

  • “I don’t need to have all the answers—I just need to trust the One who does.”

Bible Verse: “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You.” — Isaiah 26:3 (NLT)

Prayer Jesus, thank You that I can rest in Your presence. Please help me to quiet the noise today and to remember that You are with me, leading me into peace. You are My Peace. In Jesus' Amen.
