There are times in life where we quite simply can’t do anything about a situation. We’ve done everything we can do and the result is out of our hands and we are left with a choice. Do we go to a place of trusting in Gods goodness and His promises that He will do exceedingly more than we can ask, think or imagine or do we get into a place of stress and worry!
And therein lies the battle between trust and worry; between acknowledging God is sovereign and has a hand on our life, or believing in fate; between leaning in on His goodness or giving way to fear.
As I woke up today there are a dozen reasons as to why I could go to a place of stress, worry and fear. Before me are many unknowns, changes and stress points. Yet at the same time is the truth that God is there. He is there through every shift and change. He is there when I have done all I can do and it is out of my hands. He is there in the pain and He is there in the breakthrough.
The choice is mine and yours today and everyday as to whether we choose to trust in God’s goodness and to lean on Him knowing He is writing our story and promises He will complete that which concerns us, or do we try and take control even of those things we really have no control of and end up frustrated and full of worry?
Today I’m choosing and declaring that God is good. That He is good all the time and that He will do exceedingly more in my life today. I recommend doing the same because the day suddenly becomes brighter and I have an expectation of good things rather than dread and fear.
“For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You.” (Psalm 86:5)
“Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.” (Ephesians 3:20 Tpt)
Prayer: Thankyou Lord that you are good. You’re good all the time and your hand is not too short that you can’t override, intervene or orchestrate every part of my life. I trust you today and expect exceedingly more. In Jesus name amen
