3 Oct – Divine Advantage

A few years ago one of our appliances broke down and I decided that my husband Philip could take a look at it to see if he could get to work again. We weren’t flush with cash at the time and I didn’t want to have to try and buy another one.

I had complete confidence in him that he could fix it because I figured where his intellect and knowledge ran out, God would step in and give him spiritual intelligence and the skill to fix it. The bible says we have the mind of Christ – as in, we can think and know things like Jesus, so therefore we have no limits in Him ( 1 Corinthians 2:16). If Philip didn’t know how to fix it I knew God would let him know how. Long story short, Philip opened up the appliance, asked for some divine wisdom and fixed the broken appliance for me. It was a little thing, but God was teaching us that He cares about the little things in our lives as well as the bigger issues and will give us divine wisdom for every problem we face.

The fact is that life has its challenges, but God doesn’t want us to have to do life or face these challenges alone. Even when we feel we can handle it, He says He will help us and make it less burdensome. Regardless of the issue or problem we have access not only to how God thinks about that problem but what His solution is also.

God’s wisdom is a bit like when we google and find solutions and understanding by accessing answers online. When we know Jesus we have a divine advantage because we have access to how He thinks in much the same way. When faced with a problem we can ask God and engage His divine wisdom, heavenly solutions and plans. There are no limits in Him and if we take the time He will download to us His mysteries and share secrets with us that we did not know. We have access to information, solutions, new technology and inventions we haven’t even imagined yet.

Today I encourage you to seek God and to spend some time learning to engage the divine wisdom of God that He has given you access to. You may be surprised at what He reveals and shares with you, and the answers He gives to the problems you face.

“And He (Jesus) said, “To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is in parables, so that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.” (Luke 8:10)

“It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him.” (Daniel 2:22)

‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

Prayer: Lord please increase in me your wisdom and understanding so that I can apply your thinking to the circumstances I currently face. Thank you that I have answers to any challenge and divine advantage in every situation. In Jesus name Amen.
