God’s heart for us is that we would know Him and ourselves. He is in the business of growing, restoring and renewing and will turn things around for, and in us if we choose to cooperate with Him.
Some things I’ve discovered helpful as we seek Him and the life He has for us are to:
Get to know Jesus. Like really get to now the real, authentic Jesus. If you seek Him for yourself He will make Himself known to you.
2. Get out of our comfort zone and do whatever Jesus leads us to do. Sometimes we may not understand fully but if we follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit and God’s word we will be positioned exactly where we need to be..
“The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” (Psalm 32:8)
2. Be consistent and stick to things. In other words be disciplined. It’s in the little everyday things that we learn consistency as we follow Jesus’ lead.
“And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your faith], lacking in nothing.” (James 1:4)
If we want to grow to be the best version of ourselves it’s always best to work with a Master to get their help. The bible says that God is like the Master gardener. He knows us better than we know ourselves, understands the process and always when we follow His directives gets the best results. (John 15).
God sees each one of us and knows the desires and dreams in our hearts. He promises that when we put our trust and confidence in Him and His word He will lead and guide us to be able to know Him as friend and how to live a fruitful life that lasts.
Today practice listening to Jesus and being prepared to move out of your comfort zone. Be consistent in the things you know to do and say, believing that as you seek to be that person who walks out the process that God will be faithful to equip, position and bring you success and a blessed life.
Prayer: Lord thank you that your plan and desire for me is to know you and to be blessed in all I am. Please help me be responsive to your promptings, to hear and follow your word and to be more consistent. In Jesus name Amen.
