Sometimes you meet someone, and you get the feeling they may be heaven-sent.
That’s because they seem to be an answer to prayer, a source of needed encouragement, and a blessing to your life. The thing is, they probably are precisely that. Many times in the bible, men and women who listened to God and His leading were sent to encourage and help others, sometimes travelling long distances to do so. Peter was sent to Cornelius’s house to share about Jesus (Acts 10) as was Paul, who was sent to Macedonia after receiving a vision from God.
“Durning the night, Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and pleading with him. “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” As soon as Paul had seen the vision, we got ready to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.” (Acts 16:9-10)
We are even encouraged in the bible to expect angelic visitors who are heaven sent to encourage and help us.
“Continue in brotherly love. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing, some people have entertained angels without knowing it”. (Hebrews 13:1-2)
“Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?” (Hebrews 1:14).
God loves each one of us, and He knows when and where we need extra support and encouragement. He is constantly with us strengthening and giving us everything we need. However, He also likes to remind us that we are part of His one big family in heaven and on earth, which means that there will be occasions when people come across our path, which God sends to encourage us in our journey. In addition to these people are His angels who are unseen or seen are sent from heaven on special assignments and work alongside us.
Today keep in mind that you are not alone, for not only do you have the Creator of the Universe with you, but you also have a great big family filled with people who are listening out for their special assignments every day.
Plus, angels are readily waiting to assist you in whatever you are doing or going through. That’s why, with all that backup and support, we can confidently go into every situation and circumstance declaring, “If God is for us, who can be against us”. (Romans 8:31)
Prayer: Lord, thank you that I have more than enough support and encouragement available to handle everything in my day. Help me remember and be more aware of just how much help you can and send from heaven. In Jesus Name Amen.
