Last night I had a vision of my Dad who is in heaven now. He looked very stressed and worried and I wondered what was wrong. Then the picture changed and a happier version of my Dad appeared and he spoke to me and said, “I spent so much time worrying and trying to make things happen in my life. I was always hustling, planning and striving. If only I had trusted God more I would have been so much happier. I wasted a lot of time.” “Don’t do what I did, because everything is going to be okay.”
How different my Dad’s life would have been if he’d lived his life knowing everything is going to be okay and that God wanted to help direct His steps.
Today ask yourself, “If you knew that everything was going to be alright and you were going to be ok, how would you be?”
There are some thing in life that can really stress or distract us. But in the middle of all of the “noise” of life God says, “Everything is going to be ok”.
Jesus said, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
The key is not to try and handle everything alone or attempt to fix things in our own ability all the time?”
We have a BIG God who created the universe. He spoke and creation came into being, so I’m fairly certain He can handle anything we bring to Him. He wants to help and has a way that is far simpler than anything we can think up. The important point is to come to Him and to then allow Him to lead us.
When we have concerns and burdens He says to, “Cast all your cares upon Jesus for He cares for you” ….and to then leave that “care” for Him to handle. (1 Peter 5:7)
God knows the beginning from the end and everything in between. He asks us to abide in Him and to really get to know Him as a friend. To allow His strength, wisdom, love and power take care of every issue we may face, every dream we are chasing and every question we don’t know the answer to.
Jesus said, “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches, He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:4-5)
Today don’t waste your life allowing you heart to be troubled. Picture yourself sitting down next to Jesus. Give Him all your burdens, seek Him for the answers and strategies and then let His wisdom, power, love and peace flow through to you. Our job is simply to ask and receive. It’s His job to lead the way and make sure “everything is going to be alright”.
Prayer: Lord I give you my cares and burdens. Thank you for your strength, power, love and everything I need today. Thank you that everything is going to be okay. In Jesus Name Amen.
